La Perdida at Catholic University Drama Complex

The Catholic University of America Department of Drama presents Shakespeare's passionate drama about love, jealousy and redemption, retold in the Latino style of magical realism and set in pre-Revolutionary Mexico, where powerful Dons ruled like Kings. A full-length musical inspired by traditional Mexican folk music and based on Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale, the story enchantingly unfolds through song, words and dance. The adaptation's book and lyrics are by Kathleen Cahill, composed and orchestrated by Deborah Wicks La Puma, and directed and choreographed by MFA candidate Elena Velasco.
