Eleanor: Her Secret Journey by Rhoda Lerman, is a one-woman show, in which Eleanor Roosevelt recalls the years between 1918 and 1922. During that time she searches for meaning in her life and embarks on a voyage that takes her from self doubt to confidence.. The four years were a character building time for the future First Lady, and the play provides a very personal, intimate portrait of her life following her experiences during and after World War I.

"...Sue Struve plays all these characters, and she is marvelous. As Eleanor, she makes a gesture toward imitation (in particular, the slight over-articulation which characterized Mrs. Roosevelt’s speaking style) but does not attempt to mimic the remarkable voice, and though she dresses in period clothes (Beth Terranova does the costume design) she is not made up to resemble her character."
