Rarely produced in the states, this thoughtful comedy follows Rita, a bright Liverpool hairdresser in her quest to achieve the freedom that only an education can provide: the freedom of choice. Many remember the popular film version, starring Michael Caine, which received 3 Oscar Nominations including Best Picture.
