Cry "Havoc!" at Folger Theatre

Inspired by Stephan Wolfert's experience as a soldier, writer and performer, Cry "Havoc!" is a unique, interactive exploration of the soldiers found in the plays of William Shakespeare. Using the famous playwright's timeless words, plus a few of his own, Wolfert brings to life the voices of iconic figures like Richard III, Othello and Henry V, among others. Following this one-night-only performance, Wolfert is joined in an audience discussion with Dr. Niobe Way, Promundo-US, and Michael Witmore, director of the Folger Shakespeare Library, to further explore the themes of violence, recovery and community both through and outside of Shakespeare.
