DC Arts Center
2438 18th Street NW Washington

“Blood, Sweat & Fears” features three nearly forgotten one-act plays from the Theatre du Grand Guignol, a French school of horror theatre that was popular from the 1890s to the 1960s. (President Eisenhower was a patron of the original Paris theatre!) And uses music, laughs and scares to takes you back to a simpler time for the horror and suspense genre. This show will be featured as a case study in an upcoming textbook on the Grand Guignol genre, to be published by the University of Exeter Press. The show starts promptly at 7:30 PM, with no readmissions.
