Basetrack at Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center

The U.S. Marines who fought in America's longest war in Afghanistan faced unbelievable physical and emotional challenges, unlike any warriors before them, both on the battlefield and on the homefront. Part performance piece and part social-history project, this powerful live theatrical event puts you directly in their boots of these soldiers, weaving original music, film clips, images and dramatic readings of real blog posts and letters to evoke the devastating toll the war's taken on these Marines and their families. Currently on tour across the country, Basetrack Live is a collaboration between award-winning theater company En Garde Arts and corpsmen from the 1st Battalion/8th Marines.
