A Midsummer Night's Dream presented by WSC Avant Bard at Gunston Arts Center

It may be the dead of winter, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, the famous story of love and magic set during a steamy, starry evening. This is one of Shakespeare's most famous works, and it's been produced a billion times all around the world, but you haven't seen a version quite like Avant Bard's, which takes place at D.C.'s Gunston Arts Center. Director Randy Baker has conceived a show that features Indonesian-inspired shadow puppets and an actor-generated percussion orchestra, bringing a unique theatrical dynamic to one of English literature's tried and true classics.
